Sunday Services

Morning Service 8.45am
This is the earlier of our two Sunday morning services. Most weeks we take part in the Lord's Supper using the Book of Common Prayer service (1662) but on a 5th Sunday we use the BCP Morning Prayer. There is always a sermon and hymns or choruses are sung, led by a pianist (or occasionally two cornet players).
The service generally last about an hour.

Morning Praise 10.30am
This is the later of our morning services. Mostly the service is Morning Praise but once a month we have Holy Communion (mostly on the second Sunday) and there are various other special services through the year such as Harvest and Remembrance.

There is always singing, mainly of contemporary songs, led by our music group. The service is family orientated and Children's activities take place except when we have an occasional family service. The two younger groups meet in church, the  junior group in what we call ’the hut’ and the senior group in a nearby house. Bible teaching is an important part of the service and there is always a sermon.

The service generally lasts an hour or an hour and a quarter. Coffee is served afterwards and most people stay behind to chat.

Prayer Ministry with members of the prayer team is available after the service.

Evening Service 6pm - A smaller, quieter and shorter service with a talk and opportunity to pray.

The general pattern - which is often not followed because of special and seasonal services.  See above for further details of the different services.
